This is how we tell kids about its origins in preschool. For preschool children, empirical scientific definitions are not needed because they do not understand them; At that age, just write it down and save it, those things take up "space" that should be reserved for many other things, things that will be very difficult to learn as you get older.
There is no child who doesn't wonder about the way it appears, and parents are heartbroken and don't know what to say to their children. If you don't talk, you won't be at peace with them. According to science, if you say it, it's partly because you're shy, partly because you say a lot of things you don't understand, and if you don't, you'll just ask again. If children don't know, they can't let go. If their mental energy is concentrated there, it will weaken in other places. Depending on the child, it can more or less limit or slow down their development. In this respect, I see that Steiner has an interesting compromise method.

In this universe there is a land where many little angels live together. Every day when the sun rises, the dawn sunlight illuminates everything, the angels wake up and begin to play together. When the sun goes to sleep and leaves the sky to the stars, the angels also go to sleep together. Just like that, this past day…. very happy.
That night, an angel had a very strange dream. In that dream, it seemed like there was a very different world. The little angel saw a very tall man with a gentle face looking at her affectionately. The angel saw a woman with a kind face smiling at him and tears of happiness rolling down his cheeks. Dreaming there, the little angel woke up at dawn.
“I want to go there”- the little angel said to his friends
"Where?”- you asked in surprise
“I don't know, that place, where there are people waiting for me."
Having finished speaking, the little angel said goodbye to his friends and began his journey. During the day, the angel looks towards the rainbow and walks, at night he looks towards the stars and walks, just keeps walking and walking... The angel has been walking for so many days that he himself no longer remembers, that night. The angel was very tired so he had to temporarily lie down on the grass under the tree and then fell asleep without even realizing it...
“Welcome to this life, I am your father”,
“Hello daughter, I am your mother”.
Those two voices were so familiar. The angel opened his eyes and saw that he had reached the world he wanted and decided to stay there from that day.
“Do you know what day it is?”
“………….”
“That was the day the children were born.”
